## Why these answers are right

**27. B.** The opening paragraph reports how AI is seen in the West: hysteria is everywhere, the news is sensationalist, and the headlines make it look as if AI is already in every part of life. That is a description of public perception, option B.

**28. A.** After defining AI solutionism, the writer warns that this mindset jeopardises the value of machine intelligence by ignoring safety principles and raising unrealistic expectations. Jeopardises means puts at risk, so he is pointing out a risk, option A.

**29. C.** Paragraph four says politicians proclaim an AI revolution but fail to realize the complexity of deploying machine learning in the real world. Failing to realize complexity means being unaware of the challenges of implementing these initiatives, which is option C.
