## Why these answers are right

**14. D.** Section D says hunters would easily have misplaced arrows and often discarded broken bows rather than carry them home. Arrows and bows are weapons, and losing or throwing them away explains why they were left in the mountains, so the answer is D.

**15. C.** In section C, Barrett says fieldwork is hard work, involving hiking with all their equipment and often camping on permafrost. Carrying gear and sleeping on frozen ground are physical difficulties of an expedition, so the answer is C.

**16. F.** Section F explains that a colder turn in the climate would likely have meant widespread crop failures, so people depended more on hunting. Failed harvests mean less food, and the cold is the reason, which places this information in section F.
