## Why these answers are right

**1. TRUE.** Paragraph A says there are 56 hill figures in England, with the vast majority on the chalk downlands of the southern counties. Most matches the vast majority, and the southern counties are a particular area, so the statement is TRUE.

**2. NOT GIVEN.** Paragraph A lists the kinds of figures, including giants, horses, crosses and regimental badges, but gives no numbers for any type. Since the passage never says which shape is most common, the answer is NOT GIVEN.

**3. TRUE.** Paragraph B says the White Horse has recently been re-dated and shown to be even older than its previously assigned Iron Age date. If the earlier date was wrong, people were mistaken about its age, so the statement is TRUE.
