The magnetic field is a vector field with a magnitude and direction at each point. The direction is defined as the direction of the force that a magnetic north pole would feel at that point. Since poles repel and opposite poles attract, the magnetic field goes away from the magnet's north pole and towards the south pole.

## Explanation

Say "vector field" and "magnitude" clearly, stressing "MAG" in "magnitude." The word "direction" appears three times, so keep it crisp each time. Pause after "Since poles repel and opposite poles attract." Contrast "north pole" and "south pole" at the end with clear stress.

## Hints

- Focus on the two key properties of a vector field mentioned in the text.
- Think about how magnetic poles interact: do they attract or repel each other?
