In recent years in the UK, we have seen an increase in mental health problems among young people, so there has been an increased focus on how to support students. Here, we have found concerning evidence that students may have a higher risk of depression and anxiety than their peers of the same age who are not in higher education.

## Explanation

Say "UK" as two clear letters. Pause after "young people," before "so there has been" begins. Stress "higher risk" and the pair "depression and anxiety" clearly. The last part, "than their peers of the same age who are not in higher education," is long, so read it as one smooth group.

## Hints

- Focus on the main subject, which is the link between academic environments and emotional health.
- Try to rephrase the observation about higher education risks using your own vocabulary to demonstrate fluency.
