# PTE RA #25: Subsea Waste Collection Robotics

Read Aloud #25 - Level 2 - Feeds Speaking

> Look at the text below. In 35 seconds, you must read this text aloud as naturally and clearly as possible. You have 40 seconds to read aloud.

The robotic system is composed of a floating platform with eight cables connected to a mobile robot that will move around on the seafloor beneath it to collect waste items in a box using a gripper, hook, or suction device, depending on the size of the litter. The robot's orientation can be controlled by adjusting the tension of the cables.

## Explanation

The first sentence is very long, so pause after "mobile robot" and again after "beneath it" to breathe. Read "a gripper, hook, or suction device" with short pauses at each comma. Say "eight cables" clearly. Stress "orientation" and "tension" in the last sentence.

## Hints

- Focus on the three main components: the platform, the robot, and the control cables.
- Explain how the robot interacts with the environment and how its movement is managed.
