## Answer

The arrival of the internet has transformed how information is stored and shared, and classrooms have been no exception. I agree to a large extent that it has changed the role of the teacher, although it has not reduced the importance of teachers themselves.

The most significant change is that teachers are no longer the main source of information. In the past, students relied on their teacher and a textbook to learn facts, but now they can find explanations, videos and articles online within seconds. As a result, many teachers have become guides who help students search for, evaluate and apply information. For example, a science teacher might ask pupils to research climate change online and then show them how to separate reliable sources from misleading ones. Some teachers even ask students to watch short video lessons at home and use class time for discussion.

However, the internet has not replaced the human side of teaching. Students still need someone to motivate them, notice when they are struggling and give personal feedback on their work. During periods of remote learning, many pupils with full internet access still fell behind because no adult was present to encourage them. This shows that while the teacher's methods have changed, their role in supporting and inspiring students remains essential.

In conclusion, I largely agree that the internet has changed the role of the teacher from a provider of knowledge to a guide and mentor. Nevertheless, the core responsibilities of motivating and caring for learners remain as important as ever.
