# Japanese level check (N5-N3)

A 3-minute, 15-question self-check to find your starting level.

## How the estimate works

Five questions per level. Get four right and that level counts.

## Level check questions

### How is my level worked out?

There are five questions at each level. A level counts when you get at least four of its five right, starting from N5, so the result is the highest level you passed without a gap. It's a starting point for study, not an official JLPT result.

### What JLPT level is JFT-Basic?

JFT-Basic measures A2 Japanese, which is roughly between JLPT N5 and N4. The SSW visa accepts either JFT-Basic (A2) or JLPT N4.

### Is this an official test?

No. It's a quick self-check to help you choose where to start. For a full picture, take a complete mock under real timing.
